 Would
normally be used for the isolation of surfaces – typically an
internal bolt from an adjacent flat or cylindrical surface.
Various shaped rubber bushes are available as standard items
whilst special requirements can be made to order.
Typical installation may be a loose fit on assembly or pressed
into place. Also, the act of assembly may compress the rubber
against mating surfaces to eliminate ‘play’ or to provide a
pre-load.
The usual material used is rubber: Natural rubber (polyisoprene)
of different grades. Alternative elastomers available on
request.
